The LA wildfires have added a new word to my lexicon, and life continues to bring "the full catastrophe" with all its struggle and joy. Also: One month till book launch! Be still my heart.
Casey, thank you for introducing me to a new word as well. It definitely fits the theme of your book and relates to times in my own life where I wanted that feeling but it never came. Thank you for sharing your words and your heart.
Casey, I LOVE that word "hireath." It explains my relationship with Pittsburgh, my hometown, where I haven't lived for over 40 years. In my heart, "The Burgh" will always be my home.
Casey, thank you for this lovely post. I’m looking forward to your book in February! You’ve been on my mind and I’m happy to hear you’re progressing in your recovery. Sending all best wishes to you!
I'm so happy you're doing well after your health scare. NYU Langone is a great hospital. I'm a heart transplant recipient, and several of my friends received their new hearts there. I'm reading this a couple days after launch day, but I'm definitely ordering my copy today!
I love this new word. And so glad to hear you’re okay!
Thanks, Lisa! Better than ever.
Hireath. A new word for me, but for a feeling that's so familiar. Can't wait to see you next month and help you celebrate The Full Catastrophe.
I'm bursting with anticipation. What a week we'll have!
Wow, good to know you’re better than ever 🙂 Have fun at all your book events. Stay warm!
Staying warm is the most challenging of that list!
I bet! Even in northern Florida, they are predicting freezing rain tonight 🥶
I'm glad you're okay, Casey! Looking forward to launch day! 😃
Can't wait to see you, Marisa!

I think we share many of the same feelings, Yolande. Thank you for reading and taking the time to comment. xo

Once you learn this word, it seems to fit so many of those longings we can't quite put our finger on.

Charlotte, thanks so much for all of your support, including and especially publishing The Beautiful Game in SugarSugarSalt this month! xo
